This section includes various dietary regimens that may prove useful in the management of diseases and health problems. A short description(What It Is) of the diet introduces you to helpful suggestions (Some Tips). To help you in your preparation, a 3-day Menu Sample with recipes is provided.
    Because the Balanced Diet is the basic diet. it is presented first with recipe samples for a 3-day menu. All other diet menus are either a duplication or a modification of the Balanced Diet. This is purposely done to give you the idea that with simple modifications, meal preparation for sick may be done together with the regular family diet.
   Generally, modified recipes are good for 6 persons. Set aside the need serving portion for the sick; the rest may be cooked or seasoned following the Balanced Diet recipes.
   Take note of the instructions. Be attentive to small but important modifications.

What It is
               Balanced Diet is a food preparation which provides complete nutrients as well as supplies carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals and fiber in their normal proportions. It is the basis for all diet modifications.
